Weight loss ticker!

So, I thought I'd join the party and share my weight loss ticker!

I started losing weight in Janurary... and now I'm on Weight Watchers! I am currently doing the 30 Day Shred still (at least a couple times weekly) and I'm making Josh go running with me again! he he We were doing the Couch Potato to 5k in three months but for some reason we stopped in January! So, onward we go!

I am going to DO this! 7 lbs is a big deal, lets keep going! I know that once I get down the a healthy weight that I will feel more confident and that it will be easier to maintain it! I've maintained my current weight for about 2 months---and haven't gained. Now it's time to go further!

2 years today!!

So, today is our two year anniversary! :)

Wow, time flies.

Our First anniversary was fantastic!

This year we are just hanging out around here. Josh told me surprised me with reservations at The Melting Pot for later tonight! Yippee! So excited. Now it's off to go buy a nice outfit for tonight! :)

Update on us! :)

So... it has been a while.

We are currently trying to kick these colds we have out of our system! They are awful! Along with really sore throats and stuffy action going on, we have constant headaches! ugh. We are SO ready to be healthy again!

I must say, it's my first time being "sick" this whole school year so I really can't complain. :)

I went to Walgreens today---typically, I don't go there but they have some fabulous deals. Here's what I got (and it doesn't seem like a lot but boy the retail price is high!):

*yes, the hubby was along and saw the ice cream was on sale... and we compromised [we could get ice cream if I chose the flavor] hehe

This just off the shelves would cost me $23.39!

I paid $6.83!

Hurray! That's a savings of 70% and I love it!

Last week, we had lots of food in the house and we were busy that I didn't even need to grocery shop (I should have got the quick fabulous deals but life was too busy!)

A better understanding...

As I sit here thinking about life, problems, relationships, and other things... I've come to a conclusion to really share the good news of Christ I need to work on a few things. I'm not perfect, nor am I even close to perfect but I came across a verse, one of my FAVORITE Bible verses.

"Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity." -1 Timothy 4:12

I'm actually going to frame it and put it in our bedroom.

Why? You might ask.

I can't control others. I can't make them listen. I can't make people do anything.

But I can be an example in what I say, in how I live, love, in purity and in my faith. I can be a living example of just an average girl living a life for Christ... on purpose.

10 years in the future, I want to look back over my life and say Yes, I've truly tried to make good decisions in how I deal with things, in what I say... in everything I did. It's so easy to fall into sin... so easy. It's hard for me to look at sin as all being equal--I tend to put value on it--so what if I gossiped just a bit, at least I didn't have premarital "relations" or kill someone. But God see's it all as sin, so I need to start seeing it that way.

Thankfully I have a God who's forgiving, loving, compassionate about all of His children (me included!) and Who wants to be MY best friend. I'm so glad He's with me where ever I go [little e/kids lesson there!] and Who wants me to make right choices, to love others, and to experience life in an exciting way.

So anyways, 1 Timothy 4:12 is going to be my verse that I see every day--to encourage me to live a life for Christ everyday!

Tessa's Apron, aka something for my current victim ;)

Tessa really challenged me with what she was "looking" for in an apron.
She wanted it lined.
She wanted it "reversible".
She wanted an off centered tie (totally forgot that... next time I'll get it right!)
She wanted an initial on one side...
and a pocket on the other (for her cell of course!)

So... here's what it all turned out like. I'm kind of impressed. Its an apron that has lots to offer. Fabric was picked out by Tess. :)
Sorry, they may be a bit blurry. :) Remember, the above is ONE apron! :)

New sewing machine!!

So, we had a FABULOUS Christmas. We are very blessed.

One of the things I recieved was a sewing machine! Yesterday from a friend who knew I really really wanted one called and told me she had a little surprise for me... as she opened her trunk, I knew exactly what it was! It was a terrific surprise. [now we can have a weekly sewing date...]

I learned I'm sewing machine illiterate but with my mom's help and the internet, we got it going. :) My first sewing project was a "quick" apron.

I added my initial instead of a pocket, and it was less than $4 to make! Yippee. It's definitely not perfect, but it's a start---and I think it looks fabulous.

Since I didn't have my hair done nor my make up, my gracious husband volunteered to model for you.

The Greatest Lover of All Time ♥

We played this during our wedding while lighting the unity candle... it's beautiful. The words really are amazing. Truly, God, all I have, all I am, I give to you.
