Let's begin with us: my hubby and I.
We had a photo shoot in the country... the horses followed us everywhere! |
We are opposites which means we, on a daily basis, give each other a lot of grace (okay, I think he gives me more grace)! He is very organized, type A personality. He loves the details and getting things right the first time. He grew up with 3 older brothers in a military type family.
I on the other hand... grew up with 3 younger sisters, am disorganized (even though I desire to be organized), emotional, and the attitude of "well, if it gets done, it gets done". I have to remind the hubby to slow down while he reminds me to remember the details!
Yes, opposites do attract--and it definitely works (at least for us)! :) My hubby and I get along quite well.
The phrase "living with character" actually came from my husband. We were building something together (it could have been furniture or something) and I mentioned how it wasn't perfect (I was a bit worried actually). My dear husband who really does like things in order and could be considered a perfectionist says to me, "honey, we're living life with character so it doesn't matter". For him, that was a mouthful! :)
Our life is not as planned as what we want it to be nor is it as perfect as we thought our dreams would turn into. We've been married for 3 years and lets just say NOTHING is turning out like we had planned. We thought by now we'd have a 2 year old and maybe one on the way while working towards our dream jobs. However, here we are... no kids, and no dream jobs (still trying to get one!). We know that God has blessed us even though it doesn't always feel like it AND that it's all about His plans not ours!
Along the way, we're dealing with infertility, lack of direction of where God wants us, and just trying to be healthy! You may find quite a lot of topics on this blog--just a warning! Oh, and you might hear stories and see pictures of our dog Wenda--our adopted, furry "kid"!
We are just a boy and a girl trying to figure out where God wants us to go, and on the way we are living life with character!
